Patience Kabiije, FCG

Legal Consultant

Patience is a qualified corporate governance professional and a Fellow (FCG) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) - the Governance Institute, an enrolled and practicing advocate of Uganda with 16 years’ legal experience in the civil service of Uganda and private legal practice. I have garnered experience in legal advisory, legal risk and compliance, legal advisory for large infrastructure projects and corporate governance.

She has previously worked as a State Attorney in the Directorate of Legal Advisory Services at the Attorney Geernral’s Chambers, Legal Counsel-Litigation and Compliance at the National Social Security Fund-Uganda and Head of Legal Services at the Standard Gauge Railway Project under the Ministry of Works and Transport. At the start of her legal career, she worked as a legal associate with Ligomarc Advocates- a mid-sized law firm.
Her specialties are legal advisory, company secretarial work, public procurement advisory, regional integration, legal risk and compliance, pensions, advisory for large infrastructure projects, planning, policy development, general management and project management

Qualifications:

Masters in Business Administration, ESAMI.
Master of Laws (Rule of Law for Development), Loyola University, Chicago Law School
Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, the Law Development Centre Kampala.
Bachelor of Laws (LLB), University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Fellow of the ICSA- the Chartered Governance Institute, United Kingdom
Ms. Kabiije is a member of the Law Societies of Uganda and East Africa.
